Chapel of N.Sra da Luz
The chapel originated in an old chapel, already mentioned by Gaspar Frutuoso in the 16th century. The building in stone masonry plastered and painted white has the stonework on display with a triangular pediment, meanwhile in its interior it is possible to observe a great pulpit, a triumph arch, among other elements. In the main altar, there is a late baroque altarpiece (“national style”, with gilded and green wood on a white background. The altar is rococo-styled, with gilded, white and red wood.
In 1967, the chapel was reconstructed and, in 2006, it was restored.
The festivity in honor of the patron saint is carried out on the second weekend of October. It is a religious festivity.
