The Windmill was built in l946, for grinding grain, abundant in the island and one of the pillars of the economy of Graciosa

It is a typical mill Graciosa, where it was restored an adapted for Rural Tourism in the form  "cottage", remained intact exteriores characteristics and endowed the interior comfort. located on the Rua dos Windmills parish of St. Matthew, County of Santa Cruz da Graciosa, is 200 meters from the beach and with panoramic view of the sea and the islet.
