Chapel of Sr.Jesus da Boa Morte

This baroque-style chapel was built in the 18th century and is characterized by the great expressivity of its façade, with elements of stonework. Besides, it is historically important as, in this location, the liturgical implements and the relevant religious images of the Church of São Mateus, in Urzelina, were stored during volcanic eruption of 1808.

The festivity in honor of the patron saint is carried out on the first weekend of November. It is a religious festivity.
