Church of Santo Antão

In spite of its recent construction, this one was implanted at the site of the old church that survived the earthquake of 1757, called the "Mandate of God", and later succumbed with the earthquake of 1980. Here, the organ of the church was constructed by Tomé Gregório, uncle of the composer Francisco de Lacerda.

The feast in honour of the patron saint usually takes place on the third weekend of January.
